Sue qualified from Birmingham Medical School in 1984 and then trained and worked in general practice. Subsequently she has also had experience at clinical assistant and staff grade levels in adult psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, palliative care in a local hospice and antenatal work. She has also worked as a school doctor.
Having completed three years accredited training in traditional acupuncture she now works in the Beacon Clinic in this capacity. She is particularly interested in the way in which physical, mental and emotional problems interact with each other. Sue and her husband Martin opened The Beacon Clinic in 2003 as part of their shared wish to integrate the experience of a range of professionals in the care of patients.
Sue married Martin in 1987 and they have lived in Malvern since 1989. They have three daughters Katie, Bethaney and Sophia.
