During this period Alex and Judi, together with their 2 children Pamela and Matthew moved to Malvern, where Alex practiced part-time in Cheltenham, Worcester and London whilst still undertaken A & E bank-work with the LAS. During this period he also undertook a year long postgraduate diploma in Tuina Chinese Massage and medical Qi Gong.
He was fortunate to meet his friend, Jason Robertson who introduced Alex to his teacher in Beijing, Prof Wang Ju Yi. Between 2008 and 2013, Alex undertook numerous month-long study trips to Chine to study Classical Acupuncture and Applied Channel Theory under Prof Wang. It was during this period he finally left the NHS to focus on his clinic, further study and teaching. He currently is on the faculty at CICM where he teaches conventional medicine and at The City College of Acupuncture, where he teaches Tuina.
During his final trip to China in 2013 he undertook a month-long internship at the Beijing Massage hospital. He was impressed at their integration of Western and Chinese Medicine, however when he asked his wife if he could study in China for 6 years – she replied “Yes, but don’t bother coming back!”. He then looked for somewhere in the UK that offered the rigor and technical knowledge he wanted, together with the philosophical outlook he had developed. He went back to university to undertake a 5-year long degree in Osteopathy.
Alex has a passion in the integration of Western and Classical Chinese Medicine, with a special interest in reduction of pain and the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries.
Alex continues to add to his skills and is now a certified Bodymaster Method TM Practitioner and has qualified in Hot and Cold Stone Massage.

During this period he also met his wife Judi, whilst they were both serving as Police Officers in SE London.
In 1992 Alex joined the London Ambulance Service (LAS) where he undertook front-line duties in Central London. However, he always maintained his interest in Chinese Medicine and, in 2003 he went part-time in order to undertake a 3½ year degree in Acupuncture and the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine (CICM), Reading.
